Resorts World Birmingham is Europe’s first large scale leisure and entertainment resort destination located at the National Exhibition Centre campus in Birmingham and brings outlet shopping, eighteen bars and restaurants, hotel and spa, casino, conferencing and cinema all under one roof. The car park, has two internal car parks with 570 spaces over three floors servicing all aspects of the complex.

Mike Timmins, Operations Manager at Resorts World said: “We are delighted to be awarded the Park Mark. As the Midlands' leading leisure resort destination it is vital that we provide a safe, efficient and pleasant environment for all our visitors during their visit with us whether visiting our outlet shopping for a few hours or for an overnight stay in our hotel.

“We are constantly striving to improve our visitor experience and the Park Mark award demonstrates our focussed effort to ensure the safety and well being for our visitors to Resorts World Birmingham.”

A Park Mark is awarded to parking facilities that pass a rigorous risk assessment conducted by the police and the British Parking Association.  The assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, ensuring that there are appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage and cleanliness.  These criteria are known to reduce the opportunity for crime and create a safer environment for the motorist and their vehicle.

Michael Gardner, British Parking Association Area Manager, said: “I am delighted that Resorts World has now achieved Park Mark for its two car parks. It is always rewarding to be involved in the very early planning stages when a car park is being built and then to visit the finished product.

“However, effective Management of any car park is also crucial to a successful Park Mark car park. This award is well deserved and is testament to the hard work and professionalism of the car park team at Resorts World.”
